What is a Landscape Partnership Scheme? One of the grants available from the Heritage Lottery Fund is for a Landscape Partnership Scheme (LPS). They believe distinctive landscapes deserve to be looked after as they tell us about our past, are part of our present lives and should be conserved for the future.
To look after something, it helps to understand it. A LPS looks at recording the heritage and conserving the habitats of the landscape. Partners from organisations at all levels work together to do this and benefit the communities that live in the landscape.
HLF will provide £2.6 million to the Water, Mills and Marshes scheme which, along with other partner and volunteer contributions of £1.9 million, will lead to a total project budget of £4.5 million
