Wherry Lines Walks: Haddiscoe

Walk length: 9 mile circular walk.

Getting Started

Beginning at Haddiscoe station, NR31 9JA, this Norfolk Trails walk is a challenging 9 miles. The station is served by the Wherry Line from Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft.

The Route

This area is great for long skylines and excellent views over Haddiscoe marshes. Keep an eye out for geese, ducks, swans and even short eared owls. The walk is predominantly through wooded areas and across grazing marshes, which may be wet and contain livestock, so wear appropriate clothing and follow the countryside code. There are some stiles, gates, kissing gates and areas with a slight gradient. There are welcome facilities at The Haddiscoe Tavern, The Crown Inn and The Queen’s Head Inn all on this walk.
