Wherryman’s Way Walks: Bramerton
Walk length: 2 mile circular walk.
Getting Started
Begin this easy going Norfolk Trails circular walk at the parking area next to Bramerton common. To access the car park take the turning signposted Woods End from Surlingham Road and the car park can be found at the end of this road. Nearest postcode: NR14 7 ED (Grid reference TG 294 060).
The Route
From the car park follow the river walk across Bramerton Common, an ideal spot to have a picnic, taking note of the geological Site of Special Scientific interest and the ‘Sky at Night’ sculpture.
This route will take you along footpaths and green lanes through the village and eventually arriving at the Woods End Tavern. Take a moment to find out about ‘Billy Bluelight’. Follow the riverbank to return to the car park at Bramerton Pits and learn about another geological Site of Special Scientific Interest.
